OPERATIONS II

The operations II (East) Department is headed by an Executive Director and comprises of six zones namely North-Central II, North-East I & II, South- East I & II, and South – South I and headed by Zonal Coordinators respectively.

The zones are made up of the following states: Benue, Plateau, Taraba, Nasarawa, Yobe, Borno, Jigawa, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Cross-River, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers with a field office situated in the state capital of each state and headed by a Federal Roads Maintenance Engineer (FRME).

II) North East I: Yobe, Borno & Jigawa States with the zonal office in Yobe state
III) North East II: Adamawa, Bauchi & Gombe States with the zonal office in Bauchi State
IV) South East I: Anambra, Enugu & Imo States with the zonal office in Enugu State
V) South East II: Abia, Ebonyi & Cross River States with the Zonal Office in Ebonyi State
VI) South South I: Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa & Rivers States with the Zonal Office in Rivers State

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The Operations II (East) is primarily responsible for managing the Zones.
2. Check Submissions from the Field Offices
3. Process Contract Awards
4. Monitor/Keep the progress of Work
5. Process Interim Statements for Payment
6. Liaise with Direct Labour Unit.
