TO ALL FERMA CONTRACTORS/SUPPLIERS
The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), have directed that all FERMA contractors/suppliers visit their respective FIRS tax offices to register, update and validate their corporate details.
This is in line with the Federal Government’s plan to modernize the systems and strengthen the capacity for utilizing information technology for financial management in order to increase timeliness, quality and reliability of financial data.
The requirements for this exercise include:
- Business name
- RC Number
- Business address
- Taxpayer Identification Number – TIN
- Line of Business
- Business Bank Account details (maximum of four)
- Company BVN
- Email address
- Phone number (GSM)
- Certificate of Incorporation (copy)
Please note that any person submitting these requirements must produce an authorization letter signed by the CEO (i.e. MD, President, Vice President, COO, CFO, GM etc) and a means of identification with any of these: Driver’s License, International Passport or National ID Card (NIMC).
Please note that this exercise is mandatory and should be completed within two weeks of this publication as all payment transactions to all FERMA contractors/suppliers shall be based on information provided to FIRS, which will be automatically forwarded to the Government Integrated Financial Management system (GIFMIS) platform for payment purpose.
