Ongoing direct labour work being handled by Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) along Yenegoa- Oloibiri road in Bayelsa State, is said to be at its last phase as 90% of work has been completed with hopes of total completion before the month runs out.

This comes as a relief to motorists and commuters who have experienced discomfort along the highway which was characterized with potholes, failed and depressed sections, alligator cracks.

Major work involved cutting to shape and excavation of potholes, provision of crushed stone base cut in potholes and failed sections, laying of hot asphaltic concrete and overlay on distressed section of the carriage way.

FERMA has put its hands on the plough without the intention to look back and is working hard to ensure that roads in the Nation are motorable and pothole free.
