FINANCIAL BID OPENING EXERCISE PHASE I&II: FERMA ASSURES FAIRNESS AND TRANSPARENCY

The Managing Director, Engr. Nuruddeen Rafindadi FNSE, represented by Head, Procurement Department, Engr. (Mrs.)B.A. Ilemore, has expressed the Agency’s desire in selecting the best suited contractors for the jobs earlier advertised in the Federal Tenders Journal, vol. 15 and the Nation and Leadership newspapers of 29th July, 2019.
Engr. Ilemore made this known while addressing bidders at the Financial bid opening for General Maintenance repairs of some Federal Roads Nationwide (Phase I) and Financial bid opening for Procurement of Vehicles, Equipment, Plants, Office Furniture and other works (Phase III) at the Agency headquarters, Abuja on the 31st October and 1st November, 2019.
The Director said, “we assure you that the Agency would bring to bear all the relevant sections of the Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2007 in dealing with this procurement process. All submitted bids would be accorded all due considerations based on merit and the eligibility criteria as stipulated on the advert and in accordance with the provision of the PPA 2007”.
The Agency assures that fairness, transparency and competitiveness would be our watchword in the evaluation and award procedures, she added.
Present at the bid opening were external observers from the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy (CISLAC) and Cornerstone Liberty & Love Foundation (CLF).
Engr. (Mrs.)B.A. Ilemore, recalled that the Technical bids for the pre-qualification stage were opened earlier at Rockview Royale hotel, Abuja on 12th September, 2019.
