OPERATION CONNECT YOUR DESTINATION – WORK PROGRESS
Following FERMA flag-off of the project: Operation Connect Your Destination in December, 2023, all of the Agency’s Zonal and Field offices have been engaged in maintenance works nationwide to bring to fruition the essence of the initiative. Zonal and field offices have and are conscientiously working tirelessly to ensure the conclusion of all project works under the programme and deliver to Nigerians a hassle-free transit on federal road nationwide.As is the practice and in accordance with the work plan flow, inspection teams from the Agency’s Headquarters are traversing project sites both from the North to South and East to West to monitor and ascertain the quality of work being done.

Scope of work ranged from reclamation of collapsed embankment; construction of retaining walls; provision of lean asphalt on shoulders; cutting to shape of potholes; scarification of failed sections; provision of prime coat; provision of asphalt wearing course in potholes and failed sections; provision of concrete grade 20 in box culvert barrel, aprons, headwalls, toe beams; demolition of collapsed 4-Cell pipe culvert; provision of H.T reinforcements in hydraulic structure; provision of Mc1 cutback bitumen as prime coating; provision of asphaltic concrete wearing course as overlay; to provision of crushed stone base on failed sections in addition to other forms of maintenance on these federal roads all over the nation.
Evidently, the Agency is delivering on her promise to efficiently maintain federal roads nationwide as reports on work done so far inclusive of percentage completion is being garnered from the Twelve zonal and Thirty-Six field offices. Some of the projects carried out in different states are but not limited to:
 Pavement strengthening on Birnin Kebbi – Jega road, Kebbi state.
 Reinstatement of eroded shoulders and embankment washout at ch. 86+625 along Jalingo _ Mutum Biyu – Wukari – Benue state border, route 90, Taraba State.
 General Maintenance of Shendam – Yelwa – Taraba state border road, Plateau state.
 Repair of failed section along Benin- Asaba- Onitsha dual carriageway at Ch.99+700-Ch.99+900 route no.25, Delta state
 Repairs of failed sections and pavement strengthening along Benin Bypass dual carriageway (Warri bound), Edo state.
 Emergency repairs of failed section between Ch.35+660 – Ch.35+778 along Akure – Ifon – Edo state border road, route 35, Ondo state
 Maintenance and patching of potholes at km.24+860 – km.32+450 along Bauchi – Jos road, Bauchi state.
 Patching of potholes and repairs of failed sections along Numan –Mayolope Taraba state border road ch.)+000 – Ch.15+000, Adamawa state.
 Special intervention on Gombe –Potiskum road between Ch.62+000 – Ch.65+000, Gombe state.
